Pastor:
Reverend Mark S. Bozada
From the Desk of Father Mark,
My Dear People,
The "Kingdom Parables" are laced throughout the Gospels.
In them, we hear Jesus speaking about God re-establishing His
reign here on Earth. Jesus says, "The Kingdom of Heaven is
like a farmer sowing seed in the field." The reality of God's
Kingdom is so beyond where we are right now, that our minds and
hearts couldn't even comprehend it, even if we tried. Only the
Holy Spirit can help us prepare for the "Great Day" when
the Kingdom is established again on the face of the Earth. Jesus
had to use stories to convey the depths of the mystery about His
new Kingdom. It was very difficult for the Apostles to understand
what Jesus was saying in these parables. They too had questions.
Jesus told them that an understanding of the true nature of the
Kingdom would only be granted to them. To anyone who has, more
will be given. From anyone who has not, it shall be taken from
him. Pray for the grace to understand how you can assist Jesus in
establishing His Kingdom here on Earth.
May
we allow stewardship to blossom in our hearts by generously
sharing the gifts and talents, which our generous God has sowed in
our own lives.
Entrusting you to the care of Our Lady,
Fr. Mark

Rectory Roof... Because of
your faithful stewardship, we have enough money saved from this
year's budget to repair the storm damage due to the winter storms.
We will also be resealing and relining the parking lot. In
addition to these major repairs, we will also be making other
improvements to our parish property.
Special Security Collection....At
the suggestion of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, due to the
break-ins and vandalism over the past three years in both
parishes, we will be using security cameras to assist them in the
protection of our properties. Initial estimates range form $4000
to $8000. Other bids are still being sought. Please consider suing
the special collection envelope that was in the bulletin.

GoodSearch.com....What
would you say if the St. James or St. Mary’s could earn a penny
every time you searched the Internet? Well, now it's
possible!
We'd like to introduce you to a new way to help support St. James
or St. Mary’s- without reaching into your own pocketbooks. GoodSearch.com
is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its
advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities
its users designate, including St. James or St. Mary's. Use it
just as you would any search engine, and get the same quality
search results, courtesy of Yahoo, and St. James or St.
Mary’s automatically benefits!
You might think that a penny per search is peanuts, but the
results add up to something big:
But there's more: What if a percentage of your online purchases at
select online stores went to support St. James or St. Mary’s?
Now it can happen!
GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall that donates up to
37 percent of each purchase you make to us. Hundreds of stores
including Amazon.com, Target, Barnes & Noble, ebay, Dell
computers, Macy's, Hotels.com, Alaska Airlines, Ace Hardware,
Stamps.com, and 450+ more have teamed up with GoodShop so that
every time you place an order, you'll be supporting St. James or
St. Mary’s - with nothing extra coming out of your pocket!
Simply click on the "Who do you GoodShop for?" link at GoodSearch.com.
To begin searching and shopping, just go to www.goodsearch.com,
and be sure to enter St. James Catholic Church or St. Mary
Perpetual Help as the charity you
wish to support. It's an easy, painless way to help us, while
doing something you already do. Be sure to tell a friend!
